“I Am Uprooting Fear”

I heard the Lord say,

“I am uprooting Fear. – That is what I have been up to in this season. You have been wondering what it is that is dying – your fear is dying. I am killing your fears. Fear has become too familiar, too much of a companion to My people and I am uprooting fear. I am setting My bride free from fear. This will set My people apart – they will be free from fear. I am setting My people free. My people will fearlessly advance My Kingdom and be empowered by My glory in these last days.”

THE PURPOSE OF THE SEASON

This word from the Lord was such a comfort to me, as I understood that as we prepare to enter a new season, the Lord is in His kindness explaining the purpose for this past season.

A shift in season is upon us.  In the season we are exiting, so many on a global scale have come face to face with their deepest fears. But for the remnant, this confrontation with Fear comes with the promise of being used for our good, representing the final showdown required to break free once and for all.

It has felt like a relentless onslaught. But that is what is required to set us free. Fear is overcome when it is repeatedly resisted, when it is faced head on and shown it has no power. In this past season, the Enemy has come in wielding the weapon of Fear in a way we have never seen, but what our adversary did not account for was that this heavy onslaught was exactly what was needed for us to face the fear head on so we could resist it until it breaks.

Fear is a liar. And as we enter a prophetic season of exposure and light, the Enemy’s desperation to trap us with Fear is beginning more and more to expose Fear for the lie that it is.

The fear of failure, fear of abandonment, fear of rejection – any and every fear that has held us back for far too long is being exposed and confronted and is breaking.

REJECTING FEAR

To the faithful remnant –

Those who have pursued obedience to your own hurt but remain afraid you’ve missed something or did something wrong, hear this: God’s promise to you is His responsibility not yours, so reject that Fear of failure.

To the one who is afraid your reputation and favor with men has been destroyed by your stand for truth, know that you are not defined by the approval of man but by the grace of Jesus, and reject that Fear of man.

To the one who feels everyone has left and no one cares or understands, Jesus is near in the midst of your broken heart and your people are coming, so boldly reject that Fear of abandonment.

To the one who has been falsely accused for speaking the word of the Lord, you are accepted by Jesus and you have family in a global remnant that belongs to Him, so reject that Fear of rejection.

HE NEEDS US FEARLESS

As I reflected on this word, I was filled with awe at the sovereignty of our King who perfectly works all things for our good and His glory in their proper time. The way He is using the Enemy’s relentless onslaught to forever break the power of fear over us a perfect manifestation of His promise to use what the Enemy means for evil and turn it into good (see Genesis 50:20). Moreover this great reversal of Enemy schemes is as He said working toward a divine set up, creating a division between the Lord’s people who will come out of this season free from the bondage of fear and by contrast those who don’t have access to the Holy Spirit’s empowerment to conquer fear. This divide will create in people a hunger for what we the fearless have access to. Our freedom from fear will attract them to Jesus and draw them to the truth, power, and freedom of the gospel. What a glorious setting apart of His people for His glory and for the furtherance of the Kingdom as the world sees and desires to know our Prince of Peace!

The greater outpouring of Joel 2:28 is upon us. It is time for the bride of Jesus to rise up in all her glory, walking out in the full authority Jesus won for us. It is time for us to go out as commissioned to raise the dead, heal the sick, reverse the work of the devourer, and cast out demons (see Matthew 10:8). For us to walk this out, we need to be free from fear. I hear the Lord say to His bride, “I need you fearless.” I am in awe of His perfect timing. The uprooting of fear has not been easy. But it has come perfectly in season, at a time in each of our lives when He knew we would agree with His Spirit and submit to the process, and at a time that would perfectly set us up for the upcoming season and the outpouring of His Spirit that is upon u, so we can walk out in the authority Jesus won for us, fearless and free.
