The King of Glory is Stepping In
I wanted to share what I have been feeling in the Spirit and prophetically this week. This past week has felt so heavy in the Spirit and especially with what has been happening in Israel. I believe everything happening in Israel is so much bigger than Israel, and that we are living in such a prophetic moment right now.
The past couple of days, I have been sensing a holy silence in heaven. No angel is stirring. No one is making a sound, and every eye is on the King. Every eye is on the One seated on the throne. There is almost an ominous sense, because the King is about to step in, and I feel the holy expectancy as everyone awaits His move.
A PROPHETIC DREAM
Last night I had a dream in which fish that had been caught were being separated. There are the fish that remain in the Lord’s keeping and the fish that are allowed to go their own way. Among the fish that stay under the Lord’s keeping, there was a sense of excited expectancy, an awaiting for God to step in and bring retribution. On the other hand, the fish that had been permitted to do their own thing and move away from the Lord had a hook in their mouths. When I awoke from the dream, I immediately had this verse in my spirit:
“I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army…” (Ezekiel 38:4). The passage goes on to talk about how the Lord is orchestrating this showdown in which the attacks of the enemy are reversed because God steps in.
In this passage, Israel is being invaded by enemies and God says that He is actually going to lead these enemy armies with hooks in their mouths. God goes on to talk about how He is orchestrating this giant showdown where He actually turns things around and even though the enemy comes in, He turns it around because He has the hooks in their jaw and He orchestrates it for His glory and He fights for His people.
I believe this is so prophetic over the season. I believe it over Israel and I also believe it over the Church. Even before everything came out on the news last weekend, the Friday before I had woken with the word “Victory” on my heart and mind. I had been facing extra warfare the last few days before that, and on that day, I saw God turn it around and also saw Him stepping in to turn situations around for other people. I believe we are living in such a prophetic time of turnaround.
In the same passage in Ezekiel 38, verse 18 reads, “This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
I feel that is part of the silence in heaven right now. There is a tension building because God sees what is happening and He is about to step in.
God goes on in the chapter to release judgment and the chapter ends with the Lord speaking, “And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’” (Ezekiel 38:23)
I have been feeling this idea so strongly this week, that whatever God is getting ready to do, He is about to step in in such a big way to show Himself as God. I believe tomorrow, 10/14, there is a significant shift happening in the Spirit. I believe there is going to be something set in motion that cannot be stopped. He is going to set something in motion for His glory that establishes Himself as King. God is stepping in to DEFEND His people, to EXPOSE the enemy and expose lie and expose what the enemy has been doing and whose side people are on. And He is coming in with RECOMPENSE for everyone that has been in this season of fire. Those who have been through the fire of this past season are the ones who in the dream have remained in the Lord’s keeping and there is an excited expectancy over us because God is stepping in in a good way, to bring restoration and recompense and to right the wrongs. He is coming to reverse injustice and rebuke the lies and set things in order and stop the enemy.
I also think it is significant that the dream is about fish that have been caught, because fish that have been caught in Scripture represent believers. The Apostle Peter says that judgment begins at the house of God (1 Peter 4:17). Over the past few months, I have been talking about repenting and purifying our hearts and fully surrendering to the Lord – and it is because I have sensed this moment coming in which God steps in and enacts this dividing.
There are people in the Church who have been going their own way. It is not that those people are not saved, but when you go off to do your own thing, then God has to use a hook to bring you back and it’s not comfortable. It is so much better to submit voluntarily. I have been feeling that urgency for months and I have never felt it more urgently than I do now, especially with the dream last night and with the holy reverence I have been sensing in heaven.
I am feeling to speak submission over us, that we would bow to the King as the King of Glory is about to step in. Church, we are in a holy moment right now.
PROPHETIC WORD:
This word from the Lord has been bubbling up in my spirit today:
“Wake up sleeper. Wake up Church. Rise up and watch. Where are MY watchmen? Where are My watchers? Rise up and watch. Watch for Me. Eyes on ME. Eyes off the wind and waves. Eyes off the distractions. Eyes off the pleasures of this world. I need your eyes on Me. I need your eyes back on Me. I need you to be watching. I need you to be listening for My words. I need you to be obeying. I need you intent. I need you laser-focused on Me. Eyes on Me, Church. I am your Redemption. I am your Redeemer. Eyes on Me. Look to Me.”
PRAYER
“Lord we acknowledge the holy reverence in heaven right now, the holy silence. We reverence You and we bow low. God we humble ourselves under Your mighty hand. God, purify us, We ask for the refiner’s fire voluntarily. We repent of our bitterness, of our unforgiveness, our resentment, of our trying to do it our own way. We repent for striving. God, we are not going to make Your promises happen in our own strength and we repent for every moment that we’ve tried. God, we repent for every moment of doubt where we have gotten our eyes off You and tried to do it ourselves or looked at the things coming against us and been moved to a place of fear. We repent for the worry, the fear, the stress. God, search our hearts like David cried and show us where there is any way in us that is wicked, anything in us that is hurting us. Show it to us so we can repent and get free and be the ones to get to wait in holy expectation for recompense and for the good things you are bringing to those who have remained faithful in this season. Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come. The whole earth is filled with Your glory – we prophesy that: The whole earth is filled with Your glory. King of Glory, step in. Reverse the attacks of the enemy. We appeal to justice and we appeal to mercy. We fall at Your feet. We plead the blood of Jesus over our families, homes, finances, careers, and churches. God, have mercy, even as You step in with justice, have mercy on us. Worthy is the Lamb. We worship You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
