Prophetic Word for 2023
During church service on New Year’s day, I heard so strongly in my spirit, “2023 is the year of promise fulfilled. Don’t be afraid of the shaking, don’t be afraid of the rumbling. It is the sound of enemy walls falling down. It is the sound of chains breaking. I am shaking the chains off My church. Don’t be afraid of the shaking; it is the sound of your victory.”
Hallelujah! 2023 is the year of victory and the year of promise fulfilled.
I HEAR THE LORD SAY, “MY TURN”
I believe the Lord is leading the Church into a 3 month season of rest. During these three months, as He responds to the warfare we have waged in the past season, He is going to be setting things straight, bringing justice, exposing lie and revealing truth, and restoring what the enemy has stolen.
During these three months while He goes to battle on our behalf, He is inviting the Church to pursue and receive inner healing, Kingdom connections, and the new wineskin.
THE NEW WINESKIN
I believe the Lord is confronting the spirit of religion this year, and tearing down enemy strongholds. The new wineskin He is leading us to will have nothing of religion attached to it. It will consist of pure, whole-hearted devotion to the King, giving Him space and time to set the agenda and lead us into new things. Church in the future will look nothing like it has in the past; the Lord is calling the Church to return to being a people characterized by Holy Spirit and power. The transition to the new wineskin will create friction in some places as fear is exposed and the spirit of control is confronted, but the churches that make the transition will not only survive but will enter the glory the Lord is getting ready to pour out on His people later this year, and will ultimately be a part of bringing in the harvest.
WISDOM TO GET WEALTH
I also believe 2023 is a year of “wisdom to get wealth” (Deuteronomy 8:18). I believe the Lord has strategies to bring financial freedom to His people, and will be asking us to perhaps step into new territory and arenas we have not ventured into before that hold the keys to financial provision and prosperity. The Lord wants His people free. 2023 is the year of freedom in every way: body, soul, spirit, relationships, finances. He is declaring, “I am shaking the chains off My church.” He wants His bride free in every way to step into all her glory.
